The Beaumont Enterprise, southeast Texas’ leading news and digital solutions company, consists of a daily newspaper, two weekly newspapers, two magazines (events and lifestyle), a digital marketing services agency, a comprehensive news website, and SoutheastTexas.com (the largest classified marketplace in the region).

 

The organization is seeking an Advertising Director to lead its sales division.

 

The ideal candidate will have an established record of results attainment, sales staff development; understand superior customer experiences, a comprehensive knowledge of the digital landscape and strong business acumen. The advertising director plays a key leadership role with senior executives and is responsible for executing strategy to meet the company’s profit objective, revenue growth and customer retention.


To be successful in this role, this leader will possess a deep understanding of the sales process, problem solving and analytical and critical thinking skills. She/he will have an above average ability to communicate at all levels and motivational organizational leadership is required. 

Responsibilities/Requirements:

  • Direct and manage all facets of the sales division including, team sales, management and support staff.

  • Develop programs, strategies, and ideas aimed at increasing revenue and improve customer experiences.

  • Provide training and evaluation of individual and department performance.

  • Make independent sales presentations and sales calls for coaching development.

  • Perform administrative duties including: Budgeting, forecasting, customer communication, preparing and submitting reports, and managing department expenses.

  • Community involvement and networking is a must

 

This position reports to the President and Publisher.
