Hearst is searching for a team-oriented and results-driven person to join us as a Payment Specialists working in our Payment Services Department. Location:  Hearst Tower, Charlotte, North Carolina
 
Requirements:
  • 1 - 3 years of recent payment experience
  • Experience working with electronic payment processing
  • High comfort level with MS Office, especially Excel
  • Ambition to perform in a fast-paced environment
 
Responsibilities:
UK Payment Runs
  • Process the various types of payment runs for the various Hearst UK groups daily.
    • BACS
    • Checks
    • SEPA
    • Priority
    • Prepaids
  • Send daily reports to the various UK groups.
  • Mange the Hearst UK transmission incoming files.
  • Maintain the Import errors log for any invoice kickouts that may occur in the transmission files.
  • Void/reissue any payments that are returned by the bank in Oracle.
  • Monitor the Bank of America Positive Pay kickouts for the UK and address as needed.
 
Epayables
  • Create new accounts.
  • Assist vendors with credit card declines.
  • Mange payment errors in the Oracle file sent to Bank of America.
  • Communicate with any vendor who has not processed the payments issued by Hearst.
  • Maintain the Epayables mailbox.
  • Work with Bank of America on calling campaigns to enroll new vendors into the program.
 
Support
  • US/Canada Payment Runs
  • Incoming unit transmission files.
  • Import errors log.
  • US/Canada Void/reissues
  • Process wire payments for various business units.
  • Email wire confirmation out to the wire requestor once a wire transfer has been completed.
  • Work directly with TD and US Bank on any wire trace and recall cases.
  • Update the Onit system with any legal wire that has been submitted.
  • Submit manual write ups to Accounts Payables for wires made out of TD Bank and Hearst JV accounts.
