MCG – Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET)

As a member of an agile team responsible for the design, development, and testing of healthcare web applications, the Software Development Engineer in Test works on new product development as well as support of and enhancements to the existing products.
  • Participates in the design and development of healthcare web applications, using various technologies.
  • Works with members of a Scrum team to drive features and specifications, architecture design, implementation, and other software development responsibilities.
  • Owns and develops test automation and contributes to the development of supporting tools and frameworks.
  • Serves as a go-to person for general questions related to test automation tools and infrastructure.
  • Participates in code and design reviews and provides coaching to other members of the team.
  • Creates high quality tests and defect artifacts.
  • Assists in the troubleshooting of code defects and deploys timely fixes.
  • Works on customer support issues which may involve interacting with the customer over the phone or in person.
  • Reviews, creates and updates technical documents
  • Researches new tools and technologies
  • Adheres to established guidelines within the Scrum Team.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related major is preferred. 
  • 3-5 years of professional software development experience
  • Proficient hands on knowledge and experience building web applications using Angular, Node.JS and other JavaScript frameworks.
  • Microsoft .Net framework / SQL skills (MS SQL, MySQL) / C# skills are required.
  • Experience with API or Windows Services is a plus
  • Hands-on experience with testing automation tools and frameworks (e.g. Selenium) is required.
  • Strong analytical skills and effective organizational skills are required.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills are required.
  • Possesses positive, collaborative, and constructive attitude.
  • Demonstrated ability to work concurrently on diverse projects. Maintains high standards for accuracy, professionalism, productivity and confidentiality.
  • Hands on cloud experience (AWS, Azure) a plus.
  • Experience and familiarity with CI/CD is a plus.
  • Able to thrive in a fast-paced, client-focused, and changing environment
  • Experience in Health Care Industry is a plus.
