POSITION SUMMARY:  The Senior Sales Executive - will be responsible for driving revenue growth focusing on National and Regional managed care organizations, HMO’s, PPO’s, Third Party Administrators, COOP’s, medical groups, government organizations, carve outs, and other organizations who manage risk, and, as assigned on a case by case basis.  The Senior Sales Executive will be expected to successfully grow and retain existing payor clients and aggressively targeting, engaging and closing payor prospects.  In the assigned territory, this position will work collaboratively with the assigned account management team to develop the necessary tactics and relationships to ensure high client growth, satisfaction and retention.


MCG Major Responsibilities / Skills:

  Plans and conducts the overall growth and revenue retention strategy for assigned payor clients in partnership with the Account Management team and under the direction of the Payor sales leadership team

  Selling into strategic opportunities including National and Regional managed care organizations, HMO’s, PPO’s, Third Party Administrators, COOP’s, medical groups, government organizations, carve outs, and other organizations who manage risk, and, as assigned on a case by case basis

  Proactively manages and supports directly assigned Payor accounts

  Aggressively identifies, targets and closes new business

 Meets or exceeds annual revenue targets, client retention goals and client satisfaction metrics for assigned payor markets/accounts

  Appropriately delivers meaningful and constructive responses to RFP/I’s while working collaboratively with other internal resources

 Actively supports the Division’s Tradeshow/Industry Event strategy and execution

• Consistently uses and maintains metrics, pipelines, CRM tools, and quantitative feedback to effectively manage their business

  Develops and maintains strong relationships with various members of the MCG teams including management, Sales Executives, Account Management, Alliance Partner, Product Management Training and Technical organizations

  Ability to constructively and positively translate broader strategic priorities into daily tasks and tactics

  With guidance from the Sales Leadership team, able to deploy strong segment driven sales strategies, tactics and tools that effectively identify client/prospect priorities and efficiently aligns the sales process accordingly. 

   Open to learning and developing new skills under the mentorship of the Sales leadership team

  Demonstrates ability to interact and cooperate well with all division employees

  Engages constructively and appropriately with peers to achieve overall goals

 Adept communicator with the ability to think on their feet and effectively engage clients/prospects

 Become well-trained in all aspects of Guideline products and technology to ensure successful client management

  Ability to travel overnight at least 50%


Experience / Skills Required:

   7+ years direct sales experience in the payor market with demonstrated ability to close sales and drive revenue growth

  Significant knowledge of the managed care/case management and health care industry

  Knowledgeable regarding the use and role of clinical guidelines by payors and/or providers for UM, CM and DM

   Experience managing RFP/RFI response and follow-up

   Demonstrated ability to write reports and make sales presentations

  Experience working with payors regarding resource management and cost benefit analysis

• Experience with enterprise software solutions and large, complex organizations

  Ability to work collaboratively, proactively and positively with internal and external customers

  Significant knowledge of Salesforce.com, LinkedIn, AIS Health Plan Directory, Insight Squared and ClearSlide preferred

   Bachelors’ degree in related field
