The impact you’ll have

As an iCrossing Quality Assurance (QA) Director you’ll lead our QA teams across multiple projects delivering digital experiences using the latest technology frameworks and platforms.  You’re constantly looking for ways to optimize and automate your team’s testing approaches, and are able to guide and support them as they adopt these strategies. 

For this position, we are specifically looking for demonstrated experience with content management systems (AEM, Adobe Experience Manager preferred) or eCommerce website implementations.

 

What you’ll do

  • You will oversee the Quality Assurance (QA) engineering department at iCrossing and key clients, reporting to the Chief Technology Officer.
  • You will define and promote iCrossing’s National QA best practices to support QA requirements and initiatives, and provide architecture support/guidance to projects.
  • Your primary tasks will include ensuring teams are being consistent with following iCrossing’s QA best practices and standards, reviewing QA deliverables like traceability matrices, scripts, tools, and approaches (visual, automation, load, vulnerability) to ensure they’re correct and of the highest standards, leading QA resource management with internal leadership and our offshore partners to identify the right resources, and working with project teams to identify/create process improvements and delivery methods that can be reused across project teams.
  • Your secondary tasks will include creating QA content and presentation materials for RFP responses describing the QA process and deliverables we will use, and defining QA scope assumptions estimations for existing and new projects/clients.
  • You will review and approve statements of work (SOW) for all new and existing projects that involve QA.
  • You will provide oversight of QA teams to ensure the proper meetings and reviews are happening throughout the development phase of projects to ensure requirements are being clarified with clients, and advise on delivery.
  • You’ll put initial structure in place for QA teams and support their efforts starting with test planning and estimating, through their testing during development cycles, and final summary reporting back to the developers and clients.
  • You will coordinate with the team on defining the manual testing efforts vs automated testing efforts.
  • You will research and investigate QA automation tools and techniques to improve delivery timelines and overall efficiency.
  • You will improve and revise testing standards, methodologies and documentation, refine them based on emerging trends, and ensure project teams are following them.
  • You may participate in tech discussions, training opportunities and attend conferences to further skillset.
 

Who you are

  • You have at least 10 years’ experience in developing and implementing test plans and test cases.
  • You have a solid background in test lifecycle, methodology, design and configuration management techniques.
  • You have experience with analyzing the efficiency of QA tools on the market, and negotiating their purchase.
  • You have experience in defining the scope of QA activities and providing estimates on project level.
  • You are familiar with requirements analysis for Web design deliverables such as Wireframes, Storyboards, business and functional requirements.
  • You have extensive experience in testing Web Properties such as Landing Pages, Web Sites, Web Applications, Content Management Systems and APIs/web services.
  • You have deep knowledge of Testing Tools to support automated capture/playback, performance, load, compatibility, APIs responses, ADA compliance, link validation, cross browser visuals, and SEO test design requirements.  For example, Selenium, JMeter/BlazeMeter, Lighthouse, Postman/SoapUI, Wraith, BrowserStack, SortSite, Level Access AMP.
  • You are able to install and administer QA tools.
  • You’re an expert with bug tracking tools like JIRA and test management portals such as TestRail or TestLink.
  • You’re an expert in with the deployment process and testing of web sites built with content management systems such as Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) and OpenText TeamSite (nice to have, not required).
  • You’re able to collaborate with QA and cross-functional staff at the local, national level and international level.
  • You have experience participating in RFP sales/pitch process to support the new business team by creating relevant QA services content.
  • You possess excellent communication skills with technical team and non-technical team members, and clients.
  • You’re a very effective presenter of technical materials to peers and external groups (clients).
  • You have remarkable leadership and organizational skills.
  • You have deep knowledge of desktop and mobile web browsers (Firefox, Chrome, Safari, Edge, IE etc.).
  • You are familiar with HTML, CSS, JavaScript.
  • You are familiar with databases and can develop SQL statements.
