Content Producer

 

You will be responsible for managing branded content campaigns across all of our client accounts. You will work directly with content writers, UX designers, visual designers and media planners on each project. Working alongside the Account Executive team, you will be client-facing and actively involved in project briefs, project plans, and performance reviews.

 

This role will work closely with the Executive Director and team lead to establish custom strategies that align with the Houston Chronicle and Hearst platforms.

 

 

Key Responsibilities

  •         Thoroughly understand and be able to convey the value of the Branded Content and the Houston Chronicle value in the local market
  •          Develop proposals by leading brainstorming process and accurately scope projects, project requirements and a project plan based on customer goals and budget.
  •          Coordinate with partners in managing all content, creative, and technical resources on a daily basis to achieve project and brand goals.
  •          Serve as the main client interface on projects, explain complex ideas clearly, and manage expectations with internal parties and outside clients.
  •          You will monitor the content production process from start to finish, which includes, but is not limited to, formulating schedules, managing approvals, implementing edits, and communicating updates effectively.
  •          You will measure and report on the effectiveness of all content marketing efforts.
  •          Lead meetings with clients and ensure they understand their project responsibilities and value in campaign performance
  •          Lead and inspire teams by communicating a vision for the project and branded content strategies.
  •          Effectively manage conflict negotiation and project escalation
  •          Be passionate about delivering the best work, but find ways of producing projects that doesn’t jeopardize the schedule and budget
  •          You will actively look for opportunities to further branded content growth under the Houston Chronicle brand.
  •          You will prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines.
  •          You will never have a boring day and encourage the bring all ideas to the table.

 

Here is what we are looking for:

  •          Minimum 1 year prior experience and knowledge in marketing, social media, digital marketing, and content strategy
  •          Creative storyteller thinker with ability to analyze and understand analytics and performance
  •          Firm grasp of time tracking and management
  •          Comfortable working with technical and creative teams
  •          Ability to work under pressure and prioritize parallel tasks
  •         Excellent presentation and communication skills with client-facing experience
  •         An outgoing personality and an ability to build relationships and collaborate with client & partners
  •          An eagerness to learn
  •          The ability to own a project through the entire lifecycle of discovery, UX, design, build and QA.
  •          A 'find a way' attitude
  •          Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  •          Proficiency in MS Office; Adobe Suite is a plus
  •          BA/BS required

Our History

The Houston Chronicle, one of the largest newspapers in the United States, was founded in 1901 by a young journalist, Marcellus Foster. Mr. Foster published his first edition on October 14 of that same year. In exchange for part interest, Houston businessman, Jesse Jones built a 10 story Chronicle building in downtown Houston. The Houston Chronicle was acquired by Hearst in 1987.
