The Opportunity


Homecare Homebase is searching for a Home Health and Hospice Billing Manager to join our Revenue Cycle Services team, helping drive best in class Revenue Cycle outsourcing services.  This exciting opportunity will include providing outsourced revenue cycle services that drives an ROI for our clients, enhancing the value proposition of the EMR solution, and the Homecare Homebase brand.  This will allow the homecare provider to continue to focus on their exceptional patient care services.

 


The Challenge  


At Homecare Homebase, we help home health and hospice organizations across the nation overcome the business and technological challenges that stand in the way of patient care and efficiency. As the Home Health and Hospice Billing Manager, you will oversee collecting and managing account payments while supervising a team of Home Health and Hospice Billers, Collectors, and Cash Posters. This is a full time position with robust benefits and an exceptional company culture.


 

What We're Looking For

Homecare Homebase’s mission is to empower exceptional care among all the clients we serve.  The Home Health and Hospice Billing Manager supports this mission by providing careful observation and keen insight into the management, accuracy, and timeliness of all billing, collections, and accounts receivable functions of the revenue cycle services division.   


 

Responsibilities Include:

  • Supervise the Revenue Cycle Services teams.

  • Ensure Revenue Cycle Services department is operating properly and efficiently.

  • Ensure billing managers/specialists are billing/collecting all claims in a timely manner.

  • Ensure billing managers/specialists are approving invoices timely based on contracted terms.

  • Ensure Revenue Cycle Services System Administrators follow up on outstanding items with branch staff and assisting in the resolution of billing audits.

  • Stay up to date on Homecare Homebase platform updates.

  • Provide and/or constructive feedback to billing managers/specialists.

  • Provide leadership to the Revenue Cycle Services Department via staff meetings and written communications.

  • Ensure Revenue Cycle Services department adheres to guidelines and regulations.

  • Ensure Revenue Cycle Services department adheres to compliance guidelines.

  • Coordinate employee vacations to ensure department has adequate coverage.

  • Train and onboard new employees.

  • Systems Used: Microsoft – Excel & Word, Medicare DDE, Zirmed, Various Payor Portals, Homecare Homebase.

  • A bachelor’s degree in a related field is preferred.

  • Must possess a minimum of 5+ years of experience with billing functions.

  • Experience in all aspects of home health and hospice billing is essential.

  • Fast learner, proficient with computers, detail oriented, and ability to work with deadlines.

  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to interact well with diverse individuals. (Insurance companies, third party vendors, nursing homes, Medicare, Medicaid, and Revenue Cycle Services Customers at client locations.)

Education requirements: this career opportunity requires a bachelor's degree in business or a related field or an equivalent combination of some college and significant work experience. An MBA or master's degree is desired but not required.
