The Technical Solutions Consultant I is responsible for supporting our Sales and Account Management teams with interactive software solution expertise as they interact with prospects and customers.  This consultant acts as the first line of support for these teams and provides a number of services ranging from client call support to research on solution futures.  They must possess a solid understanding of MCG solutions and their positioning, features, capabilities, and associated workflows and use cases.  They must also have a solid working knowledge of partner integrations and be able to support technical discussions on the technologies involved and their implementation and use.




  • Serve as the product expert and primary support contact for Sales and Account Management product questions as they interact with both prospects and clients

  • Provide support through client meetings (face to face / WebEx / teleconferences) for both pre and post sales situations

  • Understand client use cases and be able to position our product solutions to address business needs

  • Know and use our solution value statements to position ourselves against our major competitors

  • Stay current on all solution features, major issues (workarounds & pending resolutions), limitations, pending updates and upgrades, requested and scheduled feature enhancements

  • Represent sales solution challenges and prospect or client solution feedback to the Product Management team

  • Work as part of the team taking direction from the responsible sales executive or account manager to support their end goals

  • Work closely in a software support role with our Clinical Product Consultants as they demo our products and solutions to prospects and clients.  Demo technical solutions to clients

  • Manage and lead technical discussions with prospects and clients

  • Pro-actively work to increase the level of product knowledge for the Sales and Account Management teams

  • Support Security Assessment Process and Completion


    Minimum Required Qualifications

  • Associate’s degree or equivalent work experience

  • Formal sales / support training preferred

  • Presentation training or equivalent experience


    Other Preferred Qualifications: 

  • One (1) year of product / solution support for healthcare products dealing directly with prospects / customers

  • Knowledge of implementation, support, general sales (including sales cycle), and account management processes

  • Strong client facing communication skills

    • Professional and polished / good presence / confident / knowledgeable

    • Strong oral and written communication skills including client facing presentations

    • Strong team skills (both client facing team / internal support team)

  • Demonstrated knowledge of a product or solution and its associated sales support model

  • Strong time management skills / able to prioritize and actively manage task backlog

  • Demonstrated ability to drive results with cross-functional teams from different organizations

  • Strong analytical / problem solving skills

  • Health IT industry experience strongly preferred

  • Technical training experience preferred

  • Experience with Salesforce preferred

  • Willingness to travel up to 20% of the time with occasional weekend travel
