Job Title: Senior Product Manager

Desirable Location(s): Los Angeles, CA

 

Job Overview

Reporting to the Director, Product Management (Head of Product), the Senior Product Manager is responsible for managing the lifecycle of product(s) from concept ideation through end of life.  He/she will gather VOC to inform new business cases and drive the product roadmaps.


Responsibilities

  • Develop business cases to support new revenue streams by leading market research as necessary to understand customer problems and pain points, market trends, and competitive activity
  • Define requirements, user and buyer personas, write and communicate effective user stories to cross-functional teams
  • Monitor product performance and manage the prioritization of defects and enhancements
  • Drive product launches by effectively managing scope, resource, and timeline
  • Manage the roadmaps of assigned product(s)
  • Own the P&L and meet revenue targets, set price points
  • Work within a cross functional team environment including sales, developers, clinicians, and client services teams to ensure that alignment is gained across the organization
  • Train and mentor junior members of the team in best practices
  • Ensure that all activities support the goals of the company and are consistent with the company’s mission

Education Requirement(s)

  • BA or BS Degree
  • Advanced clinical degree (e.g. MD, RN, NP, PA) and/or MBA desirable

Requirements

  • At least 3 years of prior product management experience; health IT and clinical decision support experience highly desirable
  • Experience launching new products with solid understanding of the go-to-market process
  • Expert knowledge of product management concepts and principles
  • Strong understanding of Agile Principles and Scrum
  • Proven ability to identify key customer needs and translate them into new business models
  • Ability to listen to internal and external customers
  • Ability to lead across boundaries and influence without authority
  • Able to successfully execute on multiple tasks simultaneously while working independently
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Ability to interface in a professional manner with cross-functional team, vendors, and clients to achieve agreed-to objectives and maximize results while staying within budget
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills and the ability to communicate complex ideas simply and creatively; must possess the ability to communicate at all levels with tact and discretion
  • Ability to prioritize among competing opportunities; ability to balance customer needs with technical and business priorities
  • Must be based in Los Angeles and willing to travel 25-30%
