We’re looking for a high-energy Outside Sales Representative to drive our new business development efforts as a core member of our Recruitment Advertising team.  This position requires a heavy amount of prospecting and lead development with the capability to close long-term partnerships in a face-to-face setting with local & regional HR, talent recruitment & marketing leaders.


 The primary function of this role will be to manage the full life cycle of the sale with an emphasis on generating new business.  This position requires a high level of activity by calling new prospects, scheduling sales appointments, demonstrating products and services, and negotiating new business deals. This role will be required to act as a trusted advisor by consulting with key decision makers to understand their business issues and strategic objectives as it relates to talent acquisition, employment branding and hiring needs



The position requires proficiency in our suite of multi-media products and services including:

  • Online Marketing Strategies: Audience Targeting via programmatic online display, social media, native advertising, mobile strategies, search engine marketing & optimization, email marketing, job boards & related job networks.
  • Print and Online Display advertising in Hearst CT Media Group publications & corresponding news sites
  • Event based strategies such as local Job Fairs and other employee & company recognition events

·         2-5 years of sales experience preferred

·         Experience & successful track record of Cold Calling / Prospecting for New Business

·         Holds themselves accountable for the achievement of assigned territory sales goals.

·         Ability to establish relationships in person, over the phone, through email, WebEx, social networks

·         Superior Closing Capabilities

·         Excellent organizational and time management skills

  • An extraordinary work ethic, with the ability to think quickly on your feet
  • The ability to make an impact on key decision makers.
  • Valid US drivers license and reliable transportation. Role is approximately 50% outside sales. 

·         Proficient with using the computer & internet, especially with programs such as:

o   Microsoft Office, PowerPoint, Salesforce (CRM systems)

·         Bachelor’s Degree required
