JOB SUMMARY:

 

Accountable for all business processes responsible for converting revenue into cash, including credit terms, customer contract verification and order workflow, billing accuracy, invoicing, internal and 3rd party collection efforts.  Provides management level oversight to credit, billing, and business workflow resources.

 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Manages vendor relationships including credit card processor, lockbox processor, third party collection companies, collection attorneys, etc.  

 

·         Implement and oversee policies and procedures to ensure advertising revenue is processed in adherence of business rules including pricing discipline, credit and payment terms, and product packaging.

 

·         Responsible for creating a professional culture of continuous improvement with a primary focus on building and refining an efficient workflow process from order entry through fulfillment of digital and print advertising.

 

·         Responsible for the control environment of proper recognition of advertising revenue and digital fulfillment expenses.  Oversees processes to ensure of performance of services from third party fulfillment vendors are completed for revenue recognition and controls are in place to pay vendors for services performed timely and accurately.

 

·         Collaborates with sales to ensure they have all the tools and information to win business

 

·         Develop key performance metrics and dashboards that help the sales organization focus on performance drivers

 

·         Ensures orders are processed timely and deadlines are met.

 

·         Accountable for credit extended on existing and potential customers.  Coordinates with business partners to understand all aspects of customer relationships with the ability to apply foresight to credit and collections decisions to protect company interests while not encumbering the sales process.

 

 

·         Works with Customer Service and Sales to manage customer dispute resolution and mitigate financial exposure when disputes arise.

 

·         Responsible for establishing and measuring service level and performance metrics of the revenue operations team, and regularly reporting out to senior leadership.

 

·         Works closely with leadership to develop and champion strategic initiatives that improve revenue operations and have cross functional impact.

 

·         Responsible for executing the duties of a manager, including hiring and firing decisions, as well as the performance management and coaching of the revenue operations team.
