What You Will Do as a …      

Stocker
Under close supervision, locates and moves materials to appropriate destinations in a timely manner.

 

Starting Base Wage is $12.65 per hour (includes base wage of $11.50 +$1.15 per hour shift pay)

 

Essential Functions/Job Responsibilities:
• Maintains confidentiality of CDS Global and it’s client's proprietary information.
• Transports stock and supplies to appropriate machine and/or storage area using cages, carts and pallet movers.
• Picks up discarded boxes and hay, and takes to bailer.
• Makes bails using bailer maker, and transports bails to appropriate storage area.
• Monitors for machine operator’s signal via flag or light.
• Responds to machine operator’s requests pertaining to stock or supplies, in a timely manner. 
• Reads and reviews machine waiting ticket to determine stock and supplies needed. Determines where to obtain stock or supplies, e.g., warehouse or holding area.
• Organizes and delivers return stock to warehouse.
• Returns carts to warehouse.
• Empties trash and recycling containers.
• Follows CDS Global ergonomic and safety policies.

 

The above duties may be performed anywhere from 0-100% of the workday; duties may occur only in Tipton or in Wilton or in both facilities as required.  Employee needs to be able to work in designated department/area and participate, if applicable, in CDS Global’s ergonomic stretching/strengthening exercise program.

 

Additional Duties and/or Responsibilities: 
• Assumes additional responsibilities as required.
• Makes attached mail boxes using automatic box maker as needed.

 

Education and/or Certification, Skills and Licensing:
• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• One year related job experience preferred.
• Basic verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to compare documents according to specific criteria.
• Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and requests.
• Simple math skills.
• Organizational and problem solving skills.
• Ability to react to change and remain productive.

 

Working Conditions/Physical Requirements:
(Continuous = 67-100% of workday, Frequent = 34-66% of workday, Occasional = 6-33% of workday, Rare = 1-5% of workday)

Physical Requirements: 
Continuous 
Standing, Walking, Pushing/Pulling with exertion up to 70 pounds of force, Gripping/Grasping. Visual Acuity of 20/40 or better up to 20”. Visual Acuity of 20/40 or better up to 20’ with or without correction.

Frequent
Bending, Twisting, Stooping, Reaching above Shoulder, Reaching below Shoulder, Lifting/Carrying ( 1-30 lb.), Eye/Hand/Foot coordination, Wrist motion (repetitive flexion/rotation), Working at low positions.

Occasional 
Kneeling. Lifting/Carrying up to 50 pounds, Pinching, Exposure to Dust, Pushing/Pulling exerting up to 85 pounds of force.

 

Position requires talking with or without an aide.
Position requires hearing with or without an aide.

Copier
Office supplies: pens, pencils
Electric and manual pallet movers and electric pallet lift
Carts, pallets, cages, and A-frame racks
